Chromatic up to the seventh fret and then I got lazy. I used gold fret wire for the non-diatonic frets thinking that this would give enough visual difference. But Nope! It was really hard to play with the chromatic frets "getting in the way"! So I took black magic marker and "carefully" colored them black. Then I was not "distracted by the extras frets and only used them when I want to.
how have I missed this for so long? Love it.
Bobby...sounds like a banjo, which is what I was hoping!

what kind of fretting is that, 1/2 chromatic, 1/2 dulci ?
Just like Mr Ratliff says! (plus I have always wanted one!)
