Various pictures of my two dulcimers. One is made by Warren May from wood from my grandpa's farm. The other is a small mystery instrument I just purchased off of Reverb.
What a neat story about Elvis and the dulcimer! Â I've visited Warren's shop a couple of times and it's so nice you could have an instrument built from wood your grandpa had.
That's Elvis. He's a country boy who moved to the East Coast to live with me after my grandma died.
The dulcimer was made by Warren May from wood my grandpa had stored in his barn for forever. My mom traded the whole lot of wood in exchange for dulcimers for the grandkids. It's lovely cherry and I'm really happy with it.
That dulcimer is a real beauty!
And Elvis is such a cutie scruffy little fella. 🤎
Both instruments look good. I'm sure you have fun playing. Elvis looks good as well!

Mountain dulcimer and dog-- two of my life's joys! Â
Happy strumming!Â
Appalachian dulcimer in a case, with a yellow guitar strap. Small terrier dog is poking his head into frame. The photo is taken outside on a deck.
