Sounds good to me but I don't have anything to compare it too. For me I'm happy it's functional and easy to transport (taken apart). I'm a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand and while I'm in training, it's still in pieces in my stored luggage. Once I get my permanent placement, I'll put it all back together and start playing again. :)
Cigar boxes are so interesting, I have a collection of them. Not sure if you still can but in the past I was able to get them were they were empty. The owner would put them out on a shelf for anyone interested in having one. Mine hold small paintings now but what an interesting idea, to have one as a dulcimer. How is the sound?
Thanks Diane. Your CBMDs were a great inspiration for me. :)
