Thanks Ken. It works ok and all, but I do have to be careful that I don't drop it on the instrument or over clamp it. It'll work for now till I buy a lighter weight wooden one.
Homemade capo #2. Started with a small C-clamp. Welded a 1/4 in. bolt in between the legs and covered the bolt with plastic air brake line. Glued cork pads onto the contact points. Surprisingly, as heavy and clunky as it looks, it actually functions much better than the last metal capo I made.
