I agree with the others that you did a great job on making the box dulcimer. I like your designs on the top. What are the dimensions? Length, width, height? Is the box made of solid or laminated wood. I'm sure the other builders would like to know these details. I'm curious about the fret board. I've seen several similar dulcimers where it extends beyond the edge of the dulcimer. Is this because the strings anchor underneath the end of the fret board like on some cardboard dulcimers?

Thank you Ken :) Here's a link to the plans I used:
That's where all the design aspects came from. I'd like to build another one that has a longer soundbox to match the fretboard and play around with the shape too. Mine is a little bit taller, at right around 4 inches (I only had a 1x4 on hand and it didn't occur to me to rip it down until after the fact. The fretboard I used was from a backyard music cardboard dulcimer kit. The soundbox is actually 1/4 inch Lamanite plywood I was going to use to expand a chicken coop, and I never got around to it lol.

I did :) I bought the fretboard from backyard music and got the plans from banjo lemonade on youtube and then decorated her myself. I couldn't get my picture to load so i'll have to try again but i wooburned flowers onto the back and painted them.
