When I retired, among the things on my bucket list was the desire to learn to play several folk instruments. Mountain dulcimer was my first, but that led to the banjammer, lap harp and my personal favorite, bowed psaltery. I'm loving "learning the strings"! If you visit my YouTube channel you can see samples of what I've learned from watching YouTube in the last two years. (my channel is called “learning the strings”).
Hi Learning strings, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.

Welcome Learningthestrings. This is a wonderful community of folks who love the mountain dulcimer and are more than willing to share their knowledge and experience. Enjoy your musical journey. Glad you joined.
Hey Learningthesrings, welcome aboard. Glad ya found us.
Welcome, Learningthestrings, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. Don't know what tuning you're using as a primary tuning, but Sound of Silence sounds really good and is easy to play in DAA. Hope you enjoy it here.
