Hi, Lois. My browser won't let me in to your website. It probably has something to do with the security settings. Oh, well. Just a little update for you. I had a Traditions scholarship to Dulcimerville. I can't remember the year. While there I connected with John Huron who restored my Thomas dulcimer. Since then I have taken it to several festivals where people were able to hold it and play it. This was a requirement of my stewardship of this instrument. It will be with me at festival in Latham, NY this weekend. I presented the History the American Dulcimer to several historical societies here in Pennsylvania and written some articles for DPN. I recently completed the reproduction of the Praetorius Scheitholt from 1619. Also, I just completed the translation of the Stig Walin's 1952 monograph, The Swedische Hummel from German into English. I working on polishing up the English at the moment. My research into the old instruments and the relatives of the mountain dulcimer is keeping me busy in retirement. I hope our paths cross again someday. After the festival I'll be spending a few days in Bergen County with my cousin.
