Welcome Pdouty to Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. So glad you have found the mountain dulcimer and are excited to learn. This is a great place to come and look around. There are many prior posts about dulcimers and what different people like. I'll send a private message in regard to your comment about which dulcimers may be good for you.
Thanks for the welcomes! I recently attended my very first Dulcimer Festival in Glen Rose, TX and I am now hankering for a mountain dulcimer!!! I own one of Russell Cook's early Hammer Dulcimers - back when he sold under the name "Wood 'n Strings". I also have a bowed psaltery and about a dozen ukuleles (oops). I am planning on attending Winter Creek in October.
HI Pdouty, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
