Here it is in its completed form. This stick was built for a good friend. It is longer than my backpacking models with a VSL of 25" and an overall length of a little over 30". It is made from an antique chestnut 2x4 that was salvaged from an old barn. I left room on the peg head so it could have another string added in the future if desired. I think that in addition to its good looks it has a lovely voice.

Thanks Cynthia. This one is kind of a stretched bluebird, even longer than the robin. I am looking forward to playing it myself then it is headed off to live with a good friend of mine in Missouri who loves chestnut wood (and trees). I like working with antique chestnut, but nice pieces are fairly hard to come by.

The sound holes are like bird songs - you've got to be an avid birder. This and your bluebird and wren are truly lovely. I want to play it..
