Posting this to show how one can fake a 1 1/2 fret. A little trick Stephen Seifert taught me. "Na-Insaaf" means "injustice" in Urdu. Sorry, as always, for the poor fidelity. Don't know where that high-register buzzing comes from. It sounds a little better if you switch to 720p.

On the bass string, I'm not actually fretting fret 2. I'm grazing the side of the string at approximately where fret 1 1/2 would be. It gives me the flatted note, just as if there were a 1 1/2 fret.It works with a noter, too.
Can you add a description of what exactly you are doing for the little trick?
