I can't seem to embed high quality videos directly here, so click the "HQ" button to red to ensure the best sound. This lovely three-course, 6-string dulcimer, built by Bob Sidney in Georgia in 1987, had a badly bowed-out fretboard. Ben Seymour, a very talented luthier in North Carolina, planed it down and re-fretted it. He did a very nice job. Too bad I don't play it very well yet.The simple, repetitive tune is called "Elam's Death," part of a series of songs I call "The Thief." Sorry, but 30 seconds is about tops for this, er, "camera" (Chinese mobile phone). There's a lower fidelity setting that gives me 90 seconds, but you can imagine how bad it is ....
Thanks for posting that.Really enjoyed it.
