Dulcimer Insecticide?
This morning while playing dulcimer under some pine trees at the Wrightsville Historic Museum, I noticed a small (maybe 1/2 inch long) worm-like bug crawl into one of the soundholes. Since I was playing, I didn't do anything at the time. Now that I'm home, I got my dulcimer out of the case and have it laying upside-down on the coffee table, hoping the bug will crawl out, the cats will take care of it if they find it. Whatever it was, I don't want it dying in my dulcimer and stinking up the place. Would anyone recommend that I spray the inside of the dulcimer with Raid or something like that?
