Wow, you must have broken the record for taking the longest to log in to the new site here from the old site, Macy!  The migration to the new site occurred in June 2015.  time

  Welcome 'back'.  howdy

Macy Jane ! Great to receive your 'friend' request, my pleasure to accept! I have enjoyed your imput as maker, player, and 'thought provoker', lol !!! My involvement with the site is minimal just now, am having to be a full time 'carer' for my wife, your note cheered me up some !

best wishes

John

Thank you! It was bizarre. The host, Karen, myself, and the engineer were all crammed into a tiny studio. The engineer had a stomach virus and had to run through Karen and I repeatedly to "make it to the restroom in time" as they say. It may have been most noticeable at times lol. Grin.gif

Hi Macy ... thank you so much for this information. I think I'll call the airline after reading this because I'm thinking a dulcimer would take up a lot of room in an overhead but who knows with today's flying restrictions. I'm in the Chicago area and I might just fill up my Prius and head out driving so I don't worry. It'd be nice if someone in my area wanted to share the ride. I also thought of seeing if there was anyone there I could ship it to if I decide to fly. Flying is such a headache these days that I don't want yet another thing to fret about. Much to take into consideration. Thanks again Macy. Barb

PS... the dulcimer in my profile picture is a Cedar Creek dulcimer. I just recently updated to the McSpadden.

I play a McSpadden Dulcimer and it is sitting on a possum board. It helps project the sound.

Hi Macy, welcome! :)

You hear beeping because people are chatting in the Chat Box on the main page of the site.

If you don't want the beeping to sound, just go to the chat box area and look for the little icon of the speaker, and click it to turn the beep sound down or off.

Hi Macy Jayne, it looks like you've found your way on this wonderful site of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. I like the people here and I try to spend a few minutes every day checking a few things out. Never enough time I tell ya....Grin.gif

Good Morning to you Macy Jane, and a welcome to you from the UK and European group within FOTMD ! As Bobby has already said, nice job on your dulcimer, its good to play an instrument you've made yourself.
