 I played saxophone in a high school marching band. I quit playing after high school. As I got older I wanted to find a simple stringed instrument to play as a hobby. The dulcimer fit the bill. I like to play chording dulcimer and I don't use a noter, so not a traditional style player I also like to build cigar box dulcimers and cigar box guitars.

I First Saw/Heard A Mountain Dulcimer::

 I actually bought a cheap First Act Dulcimer on clearance at Walmart. I had never heard one before. I figured that I could learn simple songs on it.

Hi Steven welcome to the FOTMD . I new to playing Dulcimer. I didn't know you could play Spanish Fandango on one. I Play Guitar and played Spanish Fandango on it just never thought about it on the Dulcimer.

Hi Steven, and welcome to the world of FOTMD. It's a good place to spend some time, exchange ideas about the dulcimer and to meet some good people.
