My first machine!

I started on the fretboard and the peghead, which is walnut. The whole thing will be walnut except for the top, which will be redwood. I sawed down the wood for the back and bookmatched it, and I did the same for the top.

I'm not going to carve a scroll head on this one, but I will start doing that on the next one. But I don't want to get too far ahead of myself!

I don't normally wear goggles when planing, but I had just finished on the band saw--and I always wear them then!

I'll take all of the encouragement you have to offer.
