Guitar kits

Okay, okay... I know tis is a dulcimer building site. But I have this brother-in-law who is a guitar player and he says I need to make a "real" instrument, and told me he'd buy a guitar if I made it. I've looked at StewMac kits and LMI does not seem to have any. Any suggestions on a good kit to consider. Once I've made one or two I might be able to "wing it" from there.
