Raffeles are one family of the Mountain Dulcimer's European cousins. Unlike the epinettes they have no delegated drone strings. On his You Tube channel Fredi Huttlinger plays one with four strings even spaced and a chromatic fret board. Robert Grasser is shown playing a three string raffele with dulcimer fretting plus the one and a half fret on Alois Muller's You Tube channel.
