playing in G or A?

HelloI'm hopeing someone can advise me regarding = playing in the key of G without a capo.!And also the key of A assuming your dulcimer is tuned D -A-d or even a tone lower. (C tuning) Would I need to re tune any of the strings perhaps the centre one?Thank you for your kind consideration.-Gary :-)
