Worm Holes

I have a piece of Rosewood I would like to use for dulcimer sides, but it has some worm holes in it. Are worm holes acceptable in a dulcimer? If they are how do I handle them? Do I fill them, or leave them alone? Will they bring the value of my dulcimer down? Thank you.
