down draft table

Sometimes it feels like more of my wood becomes sawdust than instruments.  I have seen pictures of down draft tables, roughly a shallow box topped with pegboard.  A dust collection system is attached to the box.  When you sand on the table, the dust system sucks dust down through the pegboard and into your dust system.

Has anyone tried this?  Does it work?
