Everything's Alright, 5/4 tune from Jesus Christ, Superstar
It's strange that I received the soundtrack of "Jesus Christ, Superstar" as a bar mitzvah present (and I've only listened to the whole thing a few times over the years). Nevertheless, I actually have two songs from the show in my repertoire. "Everything's Alright" on mountain dulcimer, and "I Don't Know How to Love Him," believe it or not, on banjo. (One of these years I should learn "King Herod's Song," too.)
I performed this at a coffeehouse the other night and the show was recorded. Here's "Everything's Alright."
Normally, the only extra fret I've used on this song is the 1+, but in order to minimize instrument changes in the short set, I played it on a chromatic and added some B-flats.
Enjoy!
Sam
PS - For some reason, when I look at the preview below, it's showing a paragraph from way down in my YouTube description of the video. Not intended, but enjoy the historical notes, too.
