My First Dulcimer Build

I just finished a Red Meadow kit from Cedar Creek Dulcimers in Branson, MO. I absolutely love it. My wife bought it for me over labor day weekend while we were down there for a vacation with the kids and grandkids. 

Mind you though this has been a 30 year journey. I saw my first dulcimer at the Clinton, IL Apple & Pork Festival. I fell in love but just didn't have the motivation/guts/wherewithal to make it happen. 

Starting with a kit was great. I finished with Tru-Oil. Interesting product. 
Now, I plan to build a simpler one for my granddaughter for Christmas. Going to use some old Bill Schmit plans (that I picked up somewhere) as inspiration.
