Left-Handed person playing right handed

I’m left handed, but have been playing right-handed since getting my dulcimer 2 weeks ago. I think it’s going ok, but I do notice that my right maybe isn’t as handy with the pick and it feels a bit awkward. Is there any advantage to switching to left handed? From past experiences, it has seemed easier just to try and adapt to the right handed world whenever possible. Having to reverse right handed instructions to left can be a bit of a problem for me😊. Any thoughts?
