Favorite Bridge and Nut Material?

I made these out of cow bone and avoided the bad smell by working the bone with hand tools to avoid overheating.....installed on my Backyard Simplicity cardboard dulcimer and getting really sweet sound (to my ears)

Thought I would ask what other builders prefers on there dulcimer builds?
