Question on sound differences

Its me again with another question made the mistake of showing my wife photos of different dulcimer body styles and she likes the hour drop shape

Question #1 - Is there a difference in tones between a hourglass shaped dulcimer and a hour drop shaped dulcimer ???

I cannot seem to find a sound clip of a hour drop shaped dulcimer on the net so i turned to the brilliant minds on fotmd 

I have enough wood to make both that's not a problem my wife really liked the looks of the hour drop shaped so i am debating making her an hour drop shape first
