Who makes the widest fretboards? 1.5" or wider?!

Hi everyone! Thanks for adding me to FOTMD. You could say I have very fat fingers when fretting, and improving technique and finger strength will only get me so far, despite my best attempts. But I really want to play a stringed instrument, and so far I've had the best luck with a dulcimer. So I'd like to upgrade from my dulcimer with a 1-1/4" wide fretboard to something roomier. Do you know how wide a fretboard can reasonably be for a 3 or 4 string dulcimer, and/or who makes dulcimers with a fretboard 1-1/2" or wider? So far my internet search has found Folkcraft (they make 1-3/8" and 1-1/2") and Ron Ewing (1-1/2"), and I recall someone saying that they have a dulcimer with a 1-5/8" fretboard. Most other makers I've come across don't list fretboard width. TYIA!
