Solid Body Bass Dulcimer

We are back in Covid lock down in Auckland, New Zealand and building the above gave me a project to tackle. Built from a kauri floor joist, including the nail holes and using the polyurethane strings normally found a ubass, or base ukulele. A piezo pickup under the bone bridge works well and the sound is surprisingly good.
