Hughes hourglass kit

A few months ago my brother gave me a walnut dulcimer kit from the Hughes Dulcimer Company.  Yesterday a friend cut out the scroll pieces for me, as I was too chicken to do it😀.  When I got home, I sanded & glued both the scroll head and the tailblock.

This morning I drilled (scary!!) the holes for the tuners and attached the sides.  It's starting to look like a dulcimer!
