Rocky Mountain Dulcimer

Has anyone made a Ray Jacobs Rocky Mt. Dulcimer? I watched a youtube video of him and his Wife playing them.

Looked like a bit of fun, and to me they sounded great! I also saw a book from Amazon you can purchase with instructions to build one. Thought I would quiz the minds of the Master class builders here on FOTMD first, before buying the book.
