Quarter sawn wood ?

Hi Everyone

I have a question about the wood for making a dulcimer, I have a couple books and they both say to use quarter sawn wood. Im having trouble finding quarter sawn wood.

Here is my question, do you all use quarter sawn wood? If so do you use it on the whole dulcimer or just for the fret board and sound board?
