Marquetry
So, I instead of pearl inlay, I just tried my had at marquetry Friday night to practice using my Dremel, etc. Here is the first result on a piece of scrap cherry. Takes a little to get used to the router bit. Sometimes it goes where I don't want it to go (hence the inner circle is not a smooth round). May have better luck using a jeweler's saw.
Any tips on how to get sharp relief definition on the pieces that "over top" of the loops?
I used a piece of 220 grit sandpaper folded over a time or two to try and get the good edge definition. Didn't seem to have a Dremel bit that did this. Any suggestion for bit numbers?
