Tru-Oil Finish

Hello everyone,

I am about to finish my new black walnut dulcimer with Tru-Oil and need advice. Ive never used black walnut before and it seems to be very open grained, I plan to use a few coats of cellulose sanding sealer under the Tru-Oil, would this cause any problems? I was going for a satin finish overall. Any advice would be appreciated.
