Hi Robert, thanks for the note.  You've been around the dulcimer longer than I have.  Yeah, heard about the Pacific Rim and it's really great that you got to know Jean Ritchie...jealous, ya know!  I do the Riddle song with a narration that I wrote (felt there was a story there--it is on Youtube),  I learned it from Aubrey Atwater who knew Jean quite well, so that's as close a connection to Jean that I have.  Happy strumming and catch you around sometime.

Hi Sunset Beach, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer.  It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.

Ben

Welcome to FOTMD, SunsetBeachFolkMusician1975. It's good to have you aboard. If you have any questions about mountain dulcimer history, just ask. We some folks here who are quite knowledgeable in that area. A few of us own some instruments of historical interest and a few build reproductions of early dulcimers. How about posting a video of you playing the epinette des vosges? I would enjoy seeing you playing it. Have fun exploring this site. I look forward to your participation here.

Ken
