Hi Suzy, it's nice to see another dulcimer person here from the Northwest! I know of one player in Yakima who's a schoolteacher, and there's a playing and teaching group that meets in Richland every two weeks. They have a website where you can see their schedule and sign up for email notices - threeriversdulcimersociety.net. It's worth going to, as they have experienced players and really care to share the music.
I also organize a camp with classes called Dulcimer Week in the Wallowas... Joseph, OR, where I live, is about 4.5 hours southeast of you. Please take a look at our website, wallowadulcimer.com, to see photos and info about our 10th annual camp in 2020!
Hi Suzy, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Welcome Suzym to Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. Glad you joined. This is a very nice and friendly community of dulcimer people. I am looking forward to your participation in the discussions. Best wishes on your dulcimer journey.
