Post of a list of songs you'd like to play and folks here will direct you to dulcimer tab for them it the tab is available. It would be helpful to know what tuning you are using.

So glad you joined Whispering Tune. Welcome to Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. Great advice from KenL. If you know a song and can pick it out by ear on the dulcimer, that would be one way to learn the contemporary pieces. Extra frets will be needed for most contemporary pieces.

As KenL suggested Tabledit is a good program. If you have the sheet music, you can input the notes and the program will create the tablature for you.

Best wishes on your dulcimer journey. Let us know if you have questions.

Welcome to FOTMD, Whispering Tune. Many folks find that it is less challenging to play contemporary songs on chromatic fret boards rather than the traditional diatonic fret board. Sometimes the addition of just two or three frets solves the problem adding a 1/2, a 1 1/2, a t 1/2 fret and perhaps their octaves. As to arranging a good program like Tabledit is a worthwhile investment. Once you purchase it lifetime updates are free. There is a bit of a learning curve, but the support is wonderful. Have fun looking through this site. Let us know if you have any questions. I look forward to your participation here.
