A late-night attempt at an instructional video. Very roughly edited and presented, but hopefully useful for someone. I was impressed with the little student dulcimer, made by Jeff Sebens in Virginia.
Richard, I already told you over at ED that I think this to be a very helpful video. I wonder why dulcimer players have such a mental block when it comes to adjusting a bridge? Banjo players do it all the time.
Yes, a very useful demonstration of information not often offered ! I particularly liked the (almost?) throw away mention of an aid to the fine tuning of a sharpened string, ie, the use of gentle stretching of such a string, something that I have done forever with my HD, but never once have thought to pass on to those around me just beginning on mountain dulcimer !
I've pointed people to this fine video many times. Thanks so much for having posted it.
Interesting video, thank you for the movable bridge instruction.
Very helpful

Very informative. Thank you. My three dulcimers with movable bridges will now be able to sing out clearly.
