Thank you for making me feel so welcomed to friends of the mountain dulcimer! I have been using Mel bay presents you can teach yourself dulcimer. Although it has been slow going I feel like I am making progress. That is until I came to lesson 4 exploring chords. I just can not grasp this. Does anyone have any advice for me? I have looked online for tutorials but haven't found the help I need.I have been playing since April of this year. The only musical experience I have is the accordion.I had lessons as a girl of 10 and I am now in my 60's so Needless to say I don't remember much.
Hi Beth, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
