We are at KMW this week. Shopping for a new dulcimer between KY and home. Called up McSpadden store to find local retailers, but their dealer network includes many dead ends and private individuals. How does a body go about finding a store to see and play before buying?
Welcome, Carol, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. That's not a bad 1st instrument for sure. Played one a student at a workshop I was teaching had. Hope you enjoy it here.

Hello and welcome to the site. This is a great place to share ideas and listen to music. I hope you enjoy!
Hi Carol, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people. That's nearly the same bargain as my first dulcimer which I paid $25 for.
Hi Carol and welcome. What a fun story about your Oscar Schmidt - I have a couple of their ukuleles, and had one of their autoharps for years. You'll have fun here for sure.
