Benjamin W Barr Jr: CC, it all takes time and practice. I have taken a long time learning new songs, so I understand; especially since I do not have a musical background prior to picking up the dulcimer. If I know the tune or can learn the tune, then usually finding tabbed music to the song is a big help. Often I have to start with only the melody string fingering and use the others for drones. Lots of luck. Ben
I have a question, not sure if this is the right place for questions but here goes. I am trying to tune my dulcimer to DAD. It is now tuned to DAA. I have a tuner but when I tune it to DAD it sounds funny. Is there a another DAD that is lower or is there just one level. Not sure if I explained it properly!
Rob N Lackey: Welcome, CC, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. If you can't find a local instructor there's always Skype lessons. Hope you enjoy it here. Rob

Hi Strumelia: I have been watching your videos on utube and they have helped alot! I am trying to find someone in my area who can teach me. I dont think there are many! I have found some songs that are easy with only 1 number for each note. Thanks for the welcome!
