Thank you for the kind words of welcome! I signed up for a class at the John C. Campbell Folk Art School for this upcoming weekend. Unfortunately, I learned today that it is cancelled due to teacher not being able to travel in winter weather. I was really hoping to have a good beginning foundation after the weekend but such is life!
Do you know of anyone who does provide beginning Mountain Dulcimer lessons in the Asheville area? I did find some online sights - I think I settled on Brett Ridgeway to begin to learn some chords, etc. If you have any other online ones you can recommend, that would be great! Again, thank you for the welcoming notes! Chris Shannon
Hi Chris, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
