You can get very serviceable machine tuners from C.B.Gitty. They look and work great, and for a tasty price.

I get many parts from them including strings and fret wire.

I hear you Robert! I'm thinking I like geared tuners better myself. Trying out a set of Grover Rotomatic tuners on the License Plate Guitar- they better be good for what I paid for them!

I built three dulcimers with Champion's. I don't like them. Always have to tighten the screws. Someday I plan to change out the slot screws for socket heads. Those slots can easily be damaged over time... Robert...
