Wow Thank you David! My mom still has an old Singer treadly machine that belonged to her grandmother! She did not use it to make the dulcimer bag, but she does sew with it from time to time when she feels up to messing with it.
That's great that you will be making a couple of dulcimer bags. I hope to see pictures!

Hey David and welcome to the site. This is a great place to share ideas and listen to music. I hope you enjoy!
Hey David, welcome aboard. Glad ya found us.
Welcome, David, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. Since you're used to the diatonic nature of the harmonica, you will have no trouble adapting your knowledge to the dulcimer. Hope you enjoy it here.

Hi David Welcome to FOTMD
Hi David, and welcome to the world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer and to meet some good people. I never considered myself very musically inclined, but have been playing the dulcimer for about 20 years and it gets better with practice. So, strum along.
Ben
Howdy and welcome to the crew at FOTMD!
