Had I known one of Bob Stephens's nylon-string dulcimers would become available, I would not have ordered my own, which I just received a couple of months ago.

The nylon strings create a softer, gentler, warmer, soothing sound.  Perfect for lullabies or meditative music. It is a vastly different tonal palette than a steel-stringed instrument.

Bob does really amazing work.  I'm sure this dulcimer will find an appreciative home.

The real deal, from Robert Stephens, Aaron O’Rourke Model, 2.1. I am the 2nd owner and while I have played it regularly, I have been exceedingly careful with it and it is in near mint condition, no sign of playing wear. Beautiful Curly Maple sides and back, exceptional Sitka Spruce top. Special O’Rourke string spacing, radiused fingerboard, slightly large EVO fret wire, Gotoh planetary machines, original pickup working fine. Plays beautifully, sounds great, made November, 2019.
I still have the original shipping box, very heavy cardboard reinforced internally with a wooden frame, so shipping will be a little high.
Hate to part with this, but it’s time.
‘Comes with nice carrying bag.
