Three times retired from technical writing (I'm 79), but spry. I still write and edit for others, and don't find enough time to practice (arthritis in my hands has slowed me down). I live outside of Watertown, TN, a town so small, we don't have a single traffic light (well, there's a blinking yellow light at the turn-off from the state highway).

"The dulcimer sings a sweet song."
Hi Gary, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and meet some good people.
Ben
Welcome, Gary, to Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. This is a great place to learn more. There are groups for builders, baritone dulcimer and box dulcimers if you want to consider joining one or all of those groups.
Glad you have joined. Best wishes as you learn more.
Welcome, Gary, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. Hope you enjoy it here.
