I'm sure Odie will be diligent about pre-warming the case for you!  catdance

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

Bought this new to me Dulcimer, but I will not have it in my hands until my sister visits me in December. Saw it online near her and she picked it up for me.

Mainly bought it because it was a Deering Dulcimer and I have several Deering Banjos.

I figured why have and instrument and not learn to play it, not that I play any instrument well but I keep trying.

Looks like it will be fun to learn, already reading about Dulcimers.

It will be great to get advice from people that actually play and have been through the struggles of someone that is learning.

My cat Odie is looking forward to sleeping in the Dulcimer case while I practice.

Hi itsnoyou, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer.  It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people..

Welcome, Itsnoyou to Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. Glad you have joined. Best wishes on learning to play the dulcimer. Since you have some music background it will be a bit easier for you. Just ask if you have questions.

Welcome to FOTMD Itsnoyou. As a banjo and guitar player you should have no problem figuring out the dulcimer. If you have questions, just ask us. I, too, play guitar and banjo.
