Jeff, I see your plan to go the Berea next year. I'm glad that you are still playing the dulcimer and like the traditional Noter Drone style of playing. I'm really excited to learn more about different modes and the Jean Ritchie style of playing. I was fortunate enough to meet and play with here once. A friend of mine just came into a Homer Ledfrod that was supposed to have been made for Jean's sister it's being repaired right now and I will get to play it as soon as she gets it back. We still have the group near Plainfield and several new beginners. but we do play in DAD to start people off. I would like to get a group going of people who would prefer the Noter drone style of playing Its great if your wanting to sing while you play your dulcimer. I know the last time we talked you were still working. Feel free to contact me if I can help you get started on your new Dulcimer journey you'll meet some great people !
Glenda, I have not figured out how to PM on here yet. Unfortunately, I still work full time during the week. I would love to meet other MD players from our area though.

Hi J., and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
