Hi John, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Thanks, Ken and Richard! While my interest in the mountain dulcimer began several decades ago when Homer Ledford made a dulcimer for me, I never learned to play! The spark got rekindled when I built a dulcimer this past spring at John C Campbell Folk School - pic attached. Since then I have owned several dulcimers, restored a few, and learned a lot about them. And, I am beginning to learn to play, though I have a long way to go. My frequent visits to this group have added to both my knowledge and interest. I appreciate accceptance into FOTMD and I am looking forward to participating from time to time.
Welcome John Keeton to Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. Its great to have you with us. There is a lot of information here. Look around. Let us know if you have questions.

I don't see a photo yet, John, but I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Ken, I will try again. The format for the group seems quite different from others.
