John Latkiewicz

Been dinking around with my dulcimers (Cabin Creek Kit and a FolkCraft) since about 2006.  Basically I love all genres - I especially love the tunes that I can play the best!  I have lived on Kauai in Hawaii for the last 7 years.  Although Kauai/Hawaii is paradise in many ways, it's not a hot bed of dulcimer playing.  I'm in my mid-60s and hope to retire in a couple of years.  One retirement goal is to attend workshops and dulcimer events and to put in a lot time getting better.

My wife, Helen, has musical abilities and decided to try the psaltry so that she and I can play together.  It's a work in progress for both of us.  When we're not working, we love to garden, hike and backpack, travel, read.  In addition to our human kids who are scattered across the mainland, we also love to spend quality time with our dogs and cats.
