I know it is early but I have been thinking of you. Happy Birthday my friend. CD
You're not forgotten, Rod!
'Deputy Mo'.... thinking of you. I know you must be playing the dulcimer somewhere on Christmas day.
Happy Birthday Rod 'Deputy Mo'. We miss you...
I think this little angel hears a baritone dulcimer somewhere....
With great sorrow we've seen the passing of our dear dear good friend Rod Westerfield on Christmas Day, 2010... our own "Deputy Mo", moderator, administrator, and second-in-command of Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer.
We will all miss you so. Your kind nature, forgiving spirit, your humor, endless patience, and wisdom in not only things dulcimer but in friendship, guidance, and welcoming nature. We can only hope and try to continue the shining example of boundless kindness and generosity you have set for us. You gave so much to us all! We have been deeply blessed and honored to know you.
FOTMD member Sharon has posted a forum thread HERE where members can post their thoughts at this time.
For those interested in obtaining Rod's Sacred Harp Hymns dulcimer tab book w/CD, you can order your copy from Rod's wife Deb HERE .
Rod, You will never be forgotten here, where you hold a very special place forever in all our hearts.
Dear Rod
May we each find your harmony.
Sam
A video by Rod's daughter Sarah:
