Thank you, all, for the warm and welcoming messages! It's been a busy few weeks; I'm looking forward to getting to know more about my dulcimer in April.
Greetings from Vermont Kvehe and welcome to the site. I highly recommend you tune DAA and play noter/drone, that wonderful haunting old sound. There is a noter/drone blog on here that's very helpful. I play different styles, but this is the one I always start students on, and so far, all are so happy, that they are still playing in this style. There are some super N/D players on here, John Henry being one of the most infamous lol. You have fun now.
Hi Kvehe, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Howdy, thought I'd drop by and see if you've been playing your dulcimer lately. :)
